Teza Lawrence

Executive Producer/Co-owner

Teza Lawrence is a co-founder of Amaze Film + Television. She produces both television and feature films.

Lawrence just finished Executive Producing the second season of The Stanley Dynamic, a ½ hour multi cam for YTV, as well as the feature length documentary, Being Canadian, directed by Robert Cohen, which premiered at Hot Docs in 2015.

She also Executive Produced Call Me Fitz, a ½ hour comedy series for HBO Canada starring Jason Priestley, which won Best Comedy at the 2014 and 2015 Canadian Screen Awards.

Her latest film Finn on the Fly (2008), which she co-wrote with Michael Souther, won the Audience Choice Award for Best Feature Film at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival for Children. The film also won Best Independent Feature Film Award at the 2009 KIDS FIRST! Film Festival. The film went on to sell to Disney USA and Disney International. Lawrence received a 2006 Genie Nomination for Best Feature Film for her work on Saint Ralph (2004). The film premiered at the 2004 Toronto International Film Festival, won the Grand Prix at the Paris Film Festival and was distributed in the U.S. by Samuel Goldwyn Films.

Teza co-created and Executive Produced Patti (2002), a television series for The Comedy Network and W Network in Canada. She also produced the short film Patti Burns (1999), which won a Golden Sheaf at the Yorkton Short Film Festival.

Lawrence has worked on lifestyle programs, sports documentaries and news segments for various Canadian television networks. She lives on a farm north of Toronto with her husband and three children.
